Tourism Development Forum (KTDF-Nepal) is established with the intension of promoting Tourism and Development activities in Karnali Zone of Nepal. Through Karnali zone is very rich in cultural as well as natural heritage, due to negligence from the governments it is not known to many people and disadvantaged in every aspect of development. Therefore, our initial attempts aim to introduce this region to national as well as international communities through various programs.
About Karnali
Karnali is one of 14 zones of Nepal in the northwestern mountainous region. Karnali Zone of Nepal is the largest zone with 15% of total land mass. It lies in the northwest mountainous region of the country. This Zone is one of the most remote and ignored region of Nepal and is not yet well up to Jumla. Karnali Zone includes with two National Parks: Shey Phoksundo (with Phoksundo Lake), famous for the snow leopard, is Nepal's largest Park with area of 3,555km² and Rara National Park, smallest of all with area of 106km² (with Rara Lake Pearl of Nepal, Nepal's largest lake 10.2km²).
